So, if I can’t take your call directly, please explain your needs to Margaret or Rhea, my expert assistants. For appropriate responsiveness to your acute medical needs, it’s important for us to know the urgency of your circumstances when you contact us by phone with a possible medical emergency.



My new offices are located on Montague Street—the “main street” of Brooklyn Heights—at 185 Montague (3rd Floor), between Court and Clinton Streets. This is within half a block of the very-connected Court Street/Boro Hall subway complex and three and a half blocks from the Jay Street/Boro Hall hub. When the BHFP office is closed, I can be contacted through my answering service 24/7 (718-624-6185) for emergency medical advice . However, in case of life threatening emergencies it is important to access immediate care through an emergency room and/or calling 911.  Patients also have a voice mail option to leave messages for non-emergent needs, such as appointments, administrative question and general medical questions.

Please remember that I’m affiliated with Long Island College Hospital. LICH is a few blocks from my Brooklyn Heights offices just south of Atlantic Avenue. Its Emergency Room—click here for a map to its 97 Amity Street address at the corner of Hicks Street—is open 24/7. In case of a life threatening medical emergency, go to the Emergency Room at LICH immediately. Do NOT wait for an answer to a page or a voice mail from my staff or me. Ask ER staff to contact me when you arrive at the LICH Emergency Room.
